Our mission at MAKADI is to instill newfound hope in aging-out foster children who require targeted support within their communities. Aging -out young adults stand at a critical crossroads in life, often lacking the safety nets enjoyed by their peers. As they emancipate from the foster care system, they commonly grapple with daunting challenges, including homelessness, unemployment, mental health issues, and limited education. To disrupt this cycle of vulnerability, tailored support is paramount. Through our MAKADI non-profit, we are dedicated to providing guidance, resources, and mentorship to ensure that these young adults possess the tools necessary to construct independent, stable lives, ultimately breaking free from the cycle of adversity.
